Title | Mathematical analysis of different hydrodynamic bearings with various geometrical shapes |
Abstract | There are many engineering applications in which various types of bearings are used. Slider bearing, Journal bearing, Rolling element bearing, etc., are used as per the type of their functions. Slider bearing with a plane, secant or exponential shape sliders, circular and elliptical shaped Journal bearings, lobe bearing, offset bearing, etc., are different types of available bearings. In the proposed work, we may try to analyze such types of different hydrodynamic bearings with various geometrical shapes with the help of their mathematical formulations. We will use appropriate mathematical methods to solve such mathematical equations and give graphical and numerical results. These results may describe the physical performance of these bearing systems |
