Greetings from VGEC

At Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), we remain committed to nurturing holistic growth and excellence among our students. The recently accomplished Induction Program 2025 marked a historic milestone, a one-of-its kind event in any government engineering college, being inaugurated in the presence of the Hon. Additional Chief Secretary (Education) and the Hon. Commissioner of Technical Education, Government of Gujarat. Broadcast live across all Government Engineering Colleges of the state, the program delivered over 90 hours of carefully designed sessions by eminent personalities and experts to help our new entrants explore, adapt, and feel at home within the VGEC ecosystem, laying a strong foundation for the academic journey of newly admitted students.

1500 plus VGEC Students have gained invaluable exposure at the prestigious Startup Conclave 2025 held at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar during 23rd and 24th September 2025. A special highlight was the engagement of a large number of girl students who attended women-led startup sessions and inspiring talks by distinguished women entrepreneurs, sparking aspirations for leadership, innovation, and impactful change. Equally commendable is the enthusiasm shown by our students in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 — a reflection of their innovative spirit and readiness to contribute to nation-building through technology-driven solutions that make the institute proud.

I also wish to appreciate the zeal with which students engage in co-curricular and extracurricular activities during this academic term — whether through the VGEC Official Social Media Team, Ignited Youth Forum, Photography Club, and other student-led platforms that amplify creativity, teamwork, and leadership. These initiatives enrich the campus experience and align with our vision of fostering holistic development, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

VGEC continues to encourage academic excellence while equally promoting sports, cultural pursuits, innovation, and research. I extend my heartfelt best wishes to all our students for their endeavors — academic, professional, and personal.
