Abstract The present invention relates to a profiled planar antenna designed for ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication applications in the frequency range of 3 GHz to 15 GHz. The antenna incorporates axial and radial corrugations to enhance impedance matching, reduce unwanted radiation, and improve the field distribution across the antenna aperture. The axial corrugations are rectangular-shaped and positioned in the aperture to minimize unwanted radiation, while the radial corrugations are placed on the top surface to optimize the antenna's performance. The design of the corrugations ensures efficient wideband matching with minimal loss, providing an improved gain between 8 dB and 12 dB across the specified frequency range. The antenna achieves stable radiation patterns with reduced side lobes and cross-polarization effects, ensuring efficient operation in interference-prone environments. The antenna is fabricated using a cost-effective FR4 substrate material, with dimensions of 89.35 mm ? 52.46 mm ? 1.575 mm, making it practical and suitable for modern wireless standards, including Wi-Fi, 5G, and satellite communication systems. The design of the axial and radial corrugations also reduces substrate mode excitation and enhances uniformity of field distribution, further improving the antenna's performance
