Abstract Safety is the basic necessity for all, whether it is roaming freely in a park or enjoying a leisurely sport like boating. Since it is a recreational activity, most boating is done in calm protected waters and during good weather. Even so, conditions can change rapidly, and a small vessel can get into life-threatening difficulties. When you’re planning that perfect outing on the water, put boating safety at the top of your list by knowing how much weight your boat can safely handle. Boats loaded beyond their capacity with gear and people are more difficult to control and can capsize more easily. With Automated Boat Safety System such risks can be reduced and accidents from boat overloading can be avoided using the capacity indicator in the boat. We hereby aim to enhance inland boat travel and recreational boating activity using this boat safety feature.
