The Department of Mechanical Engineering celebrated International Women’s Day on 10th March 2026 at 5:15 PM in Room M-103 to honour the contributions of women and promote awareness about women’s empowerment and gender equality.
The program began with the felicitation of female faculty members and students, who were welcomed with garlands as a mark of respect and appreciation. A total of 7 female faculty members and 4 female students participated in the celebration.
During the event, Nishant delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the significance of International Women’s Day and the importance of empowering women in society. An inspirational video showcasing women’s achievements and strength was also presented. To make the celebration interactive and enjoyable, a fun game activity was organized in which faculty members and students enthusiastically participated. Prizes were distributed to the winners, adding excitement to the event.
The celebration concluded with motivating words from Prof. Kintu R. Patel, who encouraged everyone to respect, support, and value women in every aspect of life. Overall, the event was meaningful and memorable, spreading a positive message of equality, respect, and empowerment.
