he Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an industrial visit to SPRERI (Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute), V.V. Nagar, for Semester 6 students as part of their Renewable Energy Engineering curriculum. The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to renewable energy technologies and industrial applications.
Students participated in SPRERI’s 17th Open House, where they explored innovative renewable energy projects and advanced technologies such as sun-tracking solar panels, energy-efficient systems, renewable energy-based cold storage rooms, and solar drying systems. They also gained insights into ongoing research and development activities in the field of renewable energy.
The visit further included Birla Vishwakarma Engineering College (BVEC), where students explored advanced manufacturing laboratories. Demonstrations of CNC machines, VMC machines, wire-cutting machines, and KUKA KR industrial robots helped students understand modern manufacturing processes, automation, and robotics applications in industries.
Overall, the visit provided students with valuable practical knowledge of renewable energy systems, advanced manufacturing technologies, and industrial automation, enhancing their technical understanding and industry exposure.
