The Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) student chapter of the Chemical Engineering Department, VGEC, successfully organized an expert session for undergraduate students of Chemical Engineering on ‘Cleaner Production and Sustainable Practice in Chemical Industries’ during 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on 23 April, 2026 in collaboration with Gujarat Cleaner Production Centre (GCPC). The session was conducted by team of experts from GCPC. GCPC is an Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Centre working on Cleaner Production and Technology since year 2003 under Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. In this session experts explained sector-wise industrial estates of Gujarat and their demand in adequate steps for ecology and environment protection, need of cleaner production (CP), important tools of cleaner production, effective use of principles of cleaner production and sustainable practices in chemical industries..
