The expert lecture on “Power Sector Regulation, Energy Management, and Emerging Opportunities for Chemical Engineers” was organized by the Chemical Engineering Department under the banner of the IE(I) Students’ Chapter. The session provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory framework governing the power sector, along with key aspects of energy management and efficiency. It highlighted the role of chemical engineers in the evolving energy landscape, including opportunities in power generation, sustainability, and policy-driven sectors. The lecture also familiarized students with current industry practices and emerging career and research prospects in the power, energy, and allied sectors.
