The FlagHunt event was conducted over two days, combining a workshop and a “Capture The Flag (CTF)” challenge to provide a comprehensive learning experience in cybersecurity.
On Day 1, the workshop commenced with two expert speakers introducing the objectives and scope of the event. The session focused on hands-on training in cybercrime investigation techniques, where participants were introduced to various tools and methodologies used for digital evidence collection and analysis. The speakers also shared valuable insights into the latest trends and emerging challenges in cybercrime investigation. Through practical demonstrations and real-world case discussions, participants gained a deeper understanding of how digital forensics is applied in real-life scenarios.
On Day 2, the FlagHunt CTF challenge provided an opportunity for participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge. The two-hour competition was designed around real-world cybersecurity scenarios, where participants solved challenges and captured flags to earn points. The event effectively tested their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technical skills. Participants demonstrated creativity and resilience while tackling the challenges, making the competition both engaging and competitive. The top five performers were awarded exciting prizes, recognizing their exceptional performance.
Overall, the event had a significant impact on participants by enhancing their understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and by providing insights into how real-world cyber incidents are handled. It fostered critical thinking and strengthened problem-solving skills through interactive exercises. Additionally, participants benefited from the guidance of experienced professionals, gaining practical knowledge that will support their future endeavors in the field of cybersecurity.
