The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) successfully organized the "Har Ghar Tiranga" Campaign from 13th to 15th August 2024 to commemorate India's 78th Independence Day. This three-day patriotic campaign aimed to promote national unity, cultural awareness, and patriotic fervour among students, faculty, and the community through various engaging activities.

Day 1 - 13th August 2024 :

Rangoli Competition (3 :00 PM - 5 :00 PM)

  • Activity : Traditional rangoli designs with patriotic themes
  • Participation : Students showcased their artistic talents through colourful rangoli patterns featuring tricolour themes, national symbols, and Independence Day motifs
  • Focus : Cultural expression and traditional art forms celebrating national heritage

Digital Poster Making Competition (3 :00 PM - 5 :00 PM)

  • Venue : NSS Room
  • Duration : 2 hours (concurrent with Rangoli)
  • Activity : Creative digital poster design competition
  • Participation : Students demonstrated their digital creativity by designing patriotic posters promoting the "Har Ghar Tiranga" message

Day 3 - 15th August 2024 (Independence Day) :

Flag Hoisting Ceremony

  • Venue : VGEC Campus
  • Activity : Traditional Independence Day flag hoisting ceremony
  • Participation : Entire campus community gathered for the ceremonial flag hoisting
  • Significance : Official Independence Day celebration with national anthem and patriotic speeches

Tiranga Rally

  • Venue : VGEC Campus
  • Activity : Campus-wide rally with tricolour flags and patriotic slogans
  • Participation : Massive participation by students, faculty, and volunteers
