Republic Day Celebration

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) organised a Republic Day Celebration on 26th January 2025. The event aimed to commemorate India's 76th Republic Day and honour the adoption of the Indian Constitution whilst promoting patriotism, national unity, and constitutional values among the student community.

Participation Details:

  • The celebration was conducted at VGEC Campus Grounds and Main Assembly Area.
  • Over 200+ students and faculty members actively participated in the Republic Day festivities.
  • The event featured flag hoisting ceremony, cultural programmes, patriotic performances, and speeches on constitutional significance.

Objectives:

  • To celebrate and honour the significance of Republic Day and commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution.
  • To instil patriotic sentiments and national pride amongst students through cultural performances and ceremonial activities.
  • To educate participants about constitutional values and fundamental rights and promote awareness about democratic principles.
  • To foster national unity and secular values and encourage students to become responsible and informed citizens of India.

Key Highlights:

  • Flag Hoisting Ceremony: The celebration commenced with solemn flag hoisting accompanied by the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of reverence and patriotic pride among all participants.
  • Cultural Performances: NSS volunteers presented inspiring patriotic songs, dances, and dramatic performances, making the programme emotionally engaging and culturally enriching for the entire college community.
  • Constitutional Awareness: The event included informative speeches and discussions on the significance of the Indian Constitution, enabling students to understand their fundamental rights and duties as citizens.
