One-Day Hands-on Session on hydraulic and Pneumatic Machine

20 September, 2025

On September 20, 2025, the VGEC Mechanical Engineering Department successfully held a valuable One-Day Hands-on Expert Session on Hydraulic and Pneumatic Machines. The event took place at the Atal Incubation Centre (GTU), focusing on giving students essential practical knowledge of fluid power systems and their industrial applications.

The training was expertly facilitated by Mr. Shanjiv Shakya from the Atal Incubation Centre. He provided an engaging overview of hydraulics and pneumatics, focusing on their vital role in modern systems. Students saw practical demonstrations of these technologies in action, covering devices like hydraulic lifts, complex braking mechanisms, and heavy industrial machinery.

The core of the training involved students actively engaging with critical control components. They worked directly with Directional Control Valves (DCV) and Flow Control Valves (FCV). These exercises provided first-hand experience in regulating precise fluid flow and actuator movement, transforming theoretical knowledge into valuable practical skill.

The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 66 students, who benefited from the interactive approach and the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
