About the “Event”

Electrical engineering department arranged an industrial visit at Topline Switchgear Pvt. Ltd for final year students on 23rd September, 2022 as a part of student’s curriculum for “Power System – II ”. Total 79 students took part in this visit. This industrial visit was guided and accompanied by Prof. H B Vaghela and Prof. M G Jadeja.  Mr. Vishal Trivedi was giving instructions at Topline switchgear and also he had discussed the working and importance of switchgear & transmission line equipments.

Objectives of the “Event”

• To fill the gap between technical concepts taught in curriculum and industry applied concepts. 
• To understand basics of switchgear and its related equipment.
• To understand operation procedure of G.O.A.B. switches, rotating isolators, disconnectors, earth switches, change over switches, fuses, insulators and material used for it. 
• To understand testing procedure of switchgear & transmission line equipments.
