An Industrial visit was organized by the banner of Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE) Students Chapter of Chemical Engineering Department on 16th March, 2022. 25 students along with faculty coordinator Dr. Ujvala Christian visited S. S. S. Pharmachem Pvt. Ltd. The entire visit was conducted to make students learn that the existence of real learning is beyond the four walls of the classroom.

During the visit, students observed:

• Raw materials storage and handling
• Working of minor process equipment like different valves and pumps, leaf filter, nutch filter, storage tank
• Working of major process equipment like jacketed agitated batch reactor, fluidized bed dryer, triple effect evaporator, heat exchanger, and conveyor
• 30 MLD capacity Reverse Osmosis plant for Pharma grade process water supply and other utilities
• Quality Control laboratory and packaging unit
