Abstract Today worldwide almost 300 million tons of plastic waste are produced every year which is nearly equivalent to the weight of the entire population. Waste plastic has ended up in landfill or dumped in the wild, and only 9% of used plastic has been adequately recycled. Developed economies with regulation that encourage it have recycling rates around 30%. On the other hand, developing economies with a minimum industrial base have recycling rates close to 0%. Plastic to fuel conversion is one of the feasible alternative adopted by many countries. In our research PoC, we will use different catalyst to enhance the fuel conversion efficiency. We will develop a batch reactor prototype for this process. We will examine the gas, solid and liquid faction using catalytic and non-catalytic process under controlled condition.
