Abstract | "Smart wheelchairs are an innovative technology that integrates various sensors, algorithms, and human-machine interaction mechanisms to improve the mobility and independence of people with disabilities. These wheelchairs can be customized to meet the individual needs and preferences of users, including personalized adjustments to the seat height, speed, direction, and medical devices. The use of obstacle detection helps users navigate their environment safely and efficiently. In addition, smart wheelchairs can be designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally friendly, with lightweight and compact battery systems and alternative energy sources such as solar power. The integration of health monitoring sensors provides real-time feedback on vital signs, while the integration with the IoT allows for additional functionality, such as communicating with healthcare providers. Smart wheelchairs have the potential to significantly enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities by providing greater autonomy and accessibility. |
