The Orientation Day of the Student Induction Program (SIP) 2025 marked a historic milestone in Gujarat’s technical education landscape. Held at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), Chandkheda, and live-streamed across all 18 Government Engineering Colleges of the state, the event witnessed an inspiring convergence of educational visionaries, academicians, and first-year engineering students. The ceremony was graced by Smt. Sunaina Tomar (IAS), Additional Chief Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, who delivered a transformative keynote urging students to blend discipline, wellness, technical excellence, and societal contribution into their learning journey. The celebration also honoured Ms. Jaya Lakshmi Bhilai, a courageous Mechanical Engineering lecturer and national icon, reinforcing the limitless potential of women in engineering. Senior officials like Shri B. H. Talati and Dr. Sachin Parikh emphasized the urgency of future-ready skills, inclusivity, and ethical growth. VGEC Principal Dr. V. S. Purani and SIP Convener Dr. I. N. Trivedi highlighted the collective effort behind this state-level broadcast and its vision to build engineers who are innovative, responsible, and human-centric. The Orientation Day wasn’t merely an introduction — it was the ignition of a purposeful engineering journey, filled with reflection, action, and lifelong learning. With this event, SIP 2025 officially began not just as a program, but as a transformative experience.
