Expert sessions were conducted as part of the CyberAware Bootcamp at the IT department, VGEC, by-Mr. Smit Patel from Kavayah Cloud focusing on building awareness of the latest cybersecurity threats, safe practices, and preventive measures. The session emphasized practical insights, real- world case studies, and best practices to strengthen cyber resilience within the organization

  • The session covered essential topics in cybersecurity and ethical hacking, including:
  • Cyber Tools & Platforms: WideCanvas.ai for security workflows, MobSF for mobile app testing, and Wappalyzer for technology detection.
  • Networking & Reconnaissance: DNS records, Netdiscover for host identification, and Google Dorking for OSINT.
  • Database Security:Understanding SQL joins and views, with a focus on vulnerabilities leading to SQL injection.
  • Hacking Concepts: Types of hackers (Black Hat, White Hat, Grey Hat, Hacktivists, Script Kiddies) and the role of hacktivism.
  • Malware & Threats: SpyNote RAT and its risks for mobile devices.
  • Ethical HackingLifecycle: Information gathering, scanning, gaining access,maintaining access, and clearing tracks.
  • Practical Insights: Real-world examples, securityawareness practices, and defensive strategies for IT professionals.
