About the “Event”

The Electrical Engineering Department of VGEC Chandkheda arranged an industrial visit at Topline Switchgear Pvt. Ltd. for final-year students on 25th September, 2024 as a part of the curriculum for “switchgear & protection”. A total of 82 students actively participated in this visit. The visit was guided and accompanied by Prof. H. B. Vaghela and Prof. P J Purohit. At the industry, Mr. Vishal Trivedi from Topline Switchgear Pvt. Ltd. explained various switchgear and transmission line equipment, their working principles, and their importance in modern power systems.

Objectives of the “Event”

  • To bridge the gap between theoretical concepts taught in the classroom and their real-life industrial applications.
  • To understand the design, construction, and testing of switchgear and its related equipment.
  • To study the operation of G.O.A.B. switches, rotating isolators, disconnectors, earth switches, changeover switches, fuses, and insulators.
  • To get hands-on knowledge of testing procedures for switchgear and transmission line equipment.
