Expert lecture on Comparative Study of AIS GIS and Hybrid Substations with Equipment Layouts

07 August, 2025

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), Chandkheda, under IEI student chapter organized an expert lecture on ““Comparative Study of AIS, GIS, and Hybrid Substations with Equipment Layouts”. There were number of present students 142, from 5th and 7th semester, Electrical Engineering department. Our Respected principal Dr.V.S. Purani Sir have given the warm encouraging words to student at starting of session and gave awareness about the latest trends in AI technique and Green Hydrogen also. Mr. Mahesh G. Narvekar began the session with an introduction to the evolution of substations, followed by a detailed comparison of AIS, GIS, and Hybrid substations, the discussion included technical aspects, layout diagrams, and practical insights from real-world substations. The speaker emphasized key differences in construction, maintenance, space requirements, and safety considerations. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where students actively engaged with the expert.
