As part of its initiative to enhance students’ preparedness for placement drives, the Electrical Department organized a Mock Interview Session on 2nd September 2023. The session was facilitated by two young and inspiring professionals – Mr. Aherwal Shubham Ratilal and Ms. Patel Janvee Jitendrakumar who are VGEC alumnus too.

The objective of the session was to:

• Provide students with a simulation of actual interview scenarios.
• Help them improve verbal communication, body language, and confidence.
• Share industry expectations and effective interview strategies.
• Provide personalized feedback and guidance to participants.

Both speakers, being closely familiar with recent placement patterns and recruitment processes, offered practical insights into HR and technical interviews. They conducted live mock interviews with selected students, providing instant feedback and suggestions for improvement. Emphasis was laid on how to answer behavioral questions, resume presentation, and key points to avoid during interviews.

The session was highly interactive, engaging more than 100 students across various branches. Many students expressed that the session helped reduce their anxiety and gave them clarity about real interview dynamics.

Such hands-on sessions help bridge the gap between classroom learning and corporate expectations, building students' confidence for upcoming placement opportunities.
