To motivate and guide students aspiring for higher education through the GATE examination, the Training and Placement Cell of VGEC organized a special alumni interaction session on 28th August 2021. The session was conducted by Ms. Dhara Vilasi, an accomplished VGEC alumna and successful GATE qualifier.

The objective of the session was to:

  • Introduce students to the GATE exam structure, benefits, and opportunities.
  • Share personal strategies for managing time and subjects effectively.
  • Address common challenges in GATE preparation and how to overcome them.
  • Inspire students with real-life experience and success stories.

Ms. Dhara Vilasi shared her personal journey from being a student at VGEC to achieving success in the GATE exam. She emphasized the importance of smart study techniques, regular mock tests, and maintaining mental well-being during preparation. Her practical tips and honest reflections were highly appreciated by the attendees.

The session was interactive and engaging, with students asking questions related to exam pressure, syllabus prioritization, and balancing academics with preparation. Many students felt encouraged to begin or refine their own GATE preparation journeys after attending the session.

Such alumni interactions play a vital role in bridging the gap between aspiration and achievement, offering valuable insights from those who once walked the same path.
