In order to foster the academic relation with alumni of institute, Alumni meet 2k24 was conducted at the institute level, where more than 450 alumni of different branches had participated in alumni meet. Alumni from Chemical department had also taken keen interest in this event and 40 alumni had taken part in Alumni meet 2k24. The main motive of conducting the alumni meet was to connect our prestigious alumni with institute, exchanging their valuable memories and experience with academic and recognizing their success and felicitate them for their contribution as an entrepreneur and start-up.

Event Highlights

• Alumni registration, accompanied by a welcome gift and high tea, took place at A block.
•  The event commenced with the lighting of lamps and a prayer.
•  Inauguration of the Alumni meet occurred on the L block stage, featuring speeches by Dr. Vinay S. Purani (President, VAA), Dr. Bhavesh Patel (Vice President, VAA, Alumni 2008 passout Chemical), Ex. Alumni Vice President Mr. Amit Pandya, Mr. Janak Khandwala, Invited guest Dr. Mihir Shah, and VAA institute coordinator Dr. Ghanshyam Shah.
• Dr. Bhavesh Patel articulated his views on the alumni's role for the institute, assuring various activities for the benefit of VAA and VGEC students.
• Recognition and felicitation of four outstanding alumni from chemical engineering for their noteworthy contributions as entrepreneurs and startup enthusiasts.

• Visits to the Institute and Department were organized.
• The Department hosted a welcome session for alumni, featuring tours of the research lab and Chemical Reaction Engineering lab.
• Alumni provided valuable feedback on the Institute's Vision and Mission, Department Vision and Mission, as well as Course and Program outcomes. 
• Explored the curriculum gap extensively, with alumni providing suggestions to enhance students' industry readiness.
• Alumni from various years shared memories and expressed their commitment to engaging actively with the department.
• The event concluded with cultural performances, dinner, and networking opportunities.
