Electrical Engineering Department organised an expert talk in association with Vigyan Gurjari Under the Student Innovation Fest 2023. The main aim of this talk was to develop a keen interest in innovations done in the field of energy sector. Mr. Sachinkumar Rathod, Engineer (R&D) GPRD Cell, GUVNL explained the need of innovation, Role of engineer in it and importance of patent. He explained the latest developments in research sector by a simple lucid presentation.

• Various drivers for innovations in energy sector-Energy demand and Regulatory requirement were explained in a simple way.
•  Mr. SachinKumar Rathod also explained the Indian Energy generation scenario by 2026-27 and technology wise generation aspects.
• Various Energy storage technologies were discussed in depth including all latest technologies, with their pros and cons.
• The core research and innovation at GPRD cell was explained, which included Watchdog transformer, Live line detector, SFMS etc.
