A 3-day Lecture Series on - Aptitude Training for Campus Placement

A three day lecture series on “Aptitude Training for Campus Placement” was organized under the auspices of the newly formed ISA (International Society of Automation) Student Chapter of the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Chandkheda & Training and Placement Cell of Instrumentation and Control Department. Mr. Rohan Garg, who is presently acting as Director of ICE and Career Launcher conducted the sessions on 7th, 8th and 12th July 2021, on Microsoft Teams. This lecture series was one of its kinds as this was the first event to be organized on the Facebook Live platform too, with around 445 participants. The event was coordinated by Prof. K. V. Kaul and Prof. M. D. Khediya. The student coordinators Shivam Bhavsar (President ISA), Rajvi Patel (Program Chair) and Dip Thummar (Treasurer) worked hard to make this event successful.

The main purpose to organize this lecture series was to make the students placement ready, by preparing them for aptitude tests. The topics which were covered during the sessions were Permutation and Combinations, Arrangements, Logical Reasoning etc. Lastly, the speaker gave tips on how to face an interview and the preparations to be done to crack an interview.

Students got the guidance, for preparation of aptitude tests conducted by companies and entrance exams of colleges and for government exams like UPSC, GPSC, etc. He also shared some real life experiences and examples to boost the morale of the participants.
