An Awareness Program on “Girls Health & Hygiene”

Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Cell, VGEC organized an awareness program on “Girls Health and Hygiene” on Wednesday 27th April, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM at VGEC A-block Auditorium. The program started with a short prayer followed by a welcome speech. The program was chaired by Prof. Rupal Vyasa and Guest Speaker Dr. Sneha Arora.

Dr. Sneha Arora gave a brief description on women's reproductive systems, general Pre Menstruation Syndromes - PMS among women and when it requires attention. She also discussed a very common issue of PCOS/PCOD being found in teenagers and adults nowadays due to lifestyle and obesity, in which ovaries get enlarged. On the similar line, she also gave a way to remedy this issue by adopting lifestyle changes, diet changes and by including light exercises and yoga in daily routine. Her speech was followed by the Hygiene kit distribution among girl students. Counselling to students and faculties on one to one basis is provided regarding their queries on health and hygiene.
